Jesse Corcoran's Olympic logo returns after a media blitz ensued following Marsha Lederman's article in the Globe and Mail.
Charlie Smith posted and interview on The Georgia Straights website calling the removal regrettable, and the mural was reinstalled.

Today The Globe and Mail printed a national article by Marsha Lederman about the city
requesting the removal of this mural by Jesse Corcoran on November 16th 2009.
I woke up to an email from AS IT HAPPENS, for an interview with Carol Off - CBC radio nerd dream come true.
